WHAT YOU WILL LEARN AND WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND
Contract drafting is a ubiquitous task for lawyers, but most learn to do it well only through trial and error, using forms that may or may not be well suited for the situation at hand. Few lawyers are exposed to rigorous training in contract drafting in law school. In this seminar you will learn a systematic, research-based approach to creating and reviewing written agreements of all kinds. Using the MICPEL publication, Contract Drafting and Review for the Maryland Lawyer as text, the author Charles A. Borek will show you how implementing this approach will help you to better assist your clients by avoiding reliance on boilerplate or customary language with uncertain consequences. Whether you are the draftsperson or reviewer Contract Drafting and Review for The Maryland Lawyer is a MUST course for you.
